Summers Gone by
Summers Gone By is a spec project created by photographer and videographer Camille Mortier for beachwear brand Soleil Soleil. Shot entirely on Super 8 and analogue film, the project captures the nostalgic feeling of summer coming to an end. Checkout Her Spec Project!

For the music, I wanted to translate that same feeling into sound. I worked with vintage drum machines and old Casio keyboards, running them through tape to create a warm, lo-fi texture. Acoustic, classical and electric guitar added variation while keeping the different pieces within the same sonic world.
The result is a collection of nostalgic, lo-fi summer music — warm and playful, but with a subtle feeling of summer slowly fading away.
