Hi, it’s Jelle!
and I’ve been surrounded by music for as long as I can remember. At the age of eight, I picked up my first acoustic guitar after watching Slash perform a solo from The Godfather — a moment that sparked my desire to start playing and it never really stopped.
After a few years of practicing, I realized that music truly came alive when shared with others. I started my first band and have been making music ever since, both collaboratively and on my own. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to play inspiring stages, meet great people, and work on cool projects that shaped my line of work.
Together with my three best friends, I play in a band called Divided. While the band leans toward shoegaze and metal, my personal work moves freely across genres, always guided by emotion, atmosphere, and storytelling.
I’m naturally drawn to analog, textured sounds and music with a slightly darker tone — not as an end in itself, but as a way to create depth, contrast, and emotional impact. Even in heavier moments, my work often carries a sense of openness and hope beneath the surface.
I studied Digital Design and Development (DEVINE) at Howest / School of Arts KASK and worked for several years as a motion designer. While this background shaped my sense of structure and visual storytelling, I ultimately chose to fully commit my life to music.
